Have a look at Polype's new weekly column... Discuss this article on the forum
I have been playing Magic: the Gathering in Belgium for a long time (since 1994), and I have seen many different generations of talented players, people and contributors to the game appearing and quitting the scene. Their impact on the Belgian Magic scene was so huge and relevant that I felt like those actors deserved a spotlight, a kind of honorific tribute in this new weekly column. Some of those people are still currently dedicated to the game, some less and others have totally disappeared from reality; Over the years, those actors have definitely added their little contribution to the Belgian Magic scene. I know a lot of them directly or indirectly by having met them in tournaments, heard of them or just because they are acquaintances or even friends. I will present to you those people (top pro players, pro wannabes, rookies, organizers, judges…) through a short presentation and some questions I submitted to them. The goal of this column is also to rekindle the activity of the national forum but also to share some good times and anecdotes about those people. Do not be shy to post comments, thoughts (whether in French, Flemish, English, Greek, Portuguese.. Heck, who cares?) and to give feedback. If you feel like someone should be included in this column, let me know in pm I hope you will enjoy the reading as much as I had the pleasure to get their testimonial See you around in tournaments or elsewhere !
